The Quest Begins
The Tree of Whispers is the central figure of a World Quest, "The Tree That Stands Alone." In this journey, we will unravel the secrets of the Lonely Woods and uncover the truth behind the whispers of the ancient tree.
The First Fragment
The journey begins at the southernmost edge of the Lonely Woods, where Yuan Hong, a ghostly apparition, can be found. Approach him, and he will reveal the location of the first fragment of the Tree’s story. Follow the winding path northwards, and you will come across a small cabin with a bookshelf filled with ancient tomes. Read the first volume, and you will uncover the initial piece of the puzzle.
The First Cliffhanger
Continue northwards, and you will reach a clearing with a large stone pedestal. On top of the pedestal is a small, intricately carved box. Open the box, and you will find a note that reads:
"The whispers of the ancient ones are carried on the wind.
Seek out the one who speaks in riddles."
The Mysterious Stranger
The stranger who speaks in riddles can be found at the top of a nearby hill. He will present you with a series of cryptic riddles, each one revealing a piece of the Tree’s story.
The Second Fragment
After solving the riddles, you will be granted the second fragment of the Tree’s story. The second fragment reveals the location of the next piece of the puzzle, hidden deep within the woods.
The Waterfall
Make your way to the waterfall, and follow the stream as it winds its way through the rocks. You will find the second fragment hidden behind a series of waterfalls.
The Maze
The third fragment is hidden within a maze of twisting tunnels and ancient ruins. Solve the puzzles and riddles that line the walls, and you will be rewarded with the third fragment.
The Ancient Ruins
The fourth and final fragment is hidden within the ancient ruins that lie at the heart of the woods. Solve the final puzzle, and you will unlock the secrets of the Tree of Whispers.
The Final Piece
As the final piece of the puzzle falls into place, the Tree of Whispers will begin to glow with an otherworldly light. The secrets of the Lonely Woods will be revealed, and the whispers of the ancient ones will be silenced.
