Black Myth: Wukong is an action-packed hack and slash game similar to God of War. Although the difficulty level cannot be adjusted, the standard difficulty level is comparable to God of War. Exploring every area thoroughly will allow you to discover more equipment and level up. Skill points can be used to unlock skills from the skill tree or traded with Xu Dog at the Cellar Shrine to increase attributes within a limited range. The game is composed of six chapters, with most of them being linear. Each chapter takes place in a different map, taking around 3-5 hours to complete, depending on the extent of exploration. The Keeper’s Shrine serves as a checkpoint, allowing you to recover health and mana. You can also fast travel between chapters using the Keeper Shrine. The game features a significant amount of boss battles, as well as smaller side quests with NPC characters. After completing the main story, you can return to the title screen and choose whether to continue playing or not. However, if you start a New Game+, your saves will be overwritten, and you will not be able to return to the original state. It is recommended to complete everything before starting a New Game+. The easiest way to track your progress is by using the "Journal" menu. Bosses are divided into mini-bosses called "Chief" and main bosses called "King". To obtain Platinum/1000 Gamerscore, you must complete 100% of the game, including all bosses, side quests, equipment, collectibles, and secret areas.
