Black Myth Wukong: Captaining the Quest for Freedom
As you delve deeper into the world of Black Myth Wukong, you may come across a mysterious side quest hidden in Chapter 3. To complete this quest, you must gather all four Captain Spirits and deliver them to the prisoner NPC in the Lower Pagoda.
The Prisoner’s Secret Quest
The prisoner can be found in the second cell of the Lower Pagoda, just before the start of the story (in the temple of the "Lower Pagoda"). You can talk to him by passing through the locked door. Although this is an optional quest, the Captains will appear regardless.
Finding the Captain Spirits
To progress, you must collect the four Captain Spirits. Here are their locations:
- Captain Lotus Vision: In the Upper Pagoda, locate the temple and turn around to face the opposite direction. Descend the cliffs to find the hidden boss, and retrieve their golden soul.
- Captain Wise Voice’s Spirit: Defeat the automatic story boss, Captain Wise Voice, in the Mani Wheel area.
- Captain Void Illusion’s Spirit: In the Valley of Ecstasy, take a right turn from the longevity path. Interact with the giant statue’s corpse to obtain this item.
- Captain Calypso Wave’s Spirit: Defeat the automatic story boss, Captain Calypso Wave, in the Valley of Ecstasy.
Quest Completion and Rewards
Return to the prisoner’s cell in the Lower Pagoda and deliver the four Captain Spirits. You will receive the "Tchu Bui Spearhead" material, a key component for crafting a weapon. Additionally, you can obtain a sword from the dying animal next to the prisoner, and master the transformation spell "Gray Sleep" by combining the two.
